Humber’s Advertising and Marketing Communications diploma program is designed to equip students with essential skills in promotional writing, presentation, and organization. The curriculum covers introductory design, basic production, and supplier management skills, alongside courses in advertising, marketing communications, public relations, and project coordination. This comprehensive approach ensures that students gain a keen awareness of the diverse employment opportunities available in the field.

 

The program emphasizes collaboration with advertising creatives, including copywriters, graphic designers, and art directors, focusing on media planning. Students will have the chance to work with NEXT, Humber’s in-house advertising agency, allowing them to build a professional network while tackling real-world projects. The first semester is shared with other related diploma programs, providing flexibility for students to shift their focus in the second semester.

Program Structure

The Advertising and Marketing Communications diploma program spans 4 semesters, offering a blend of theoretical knowledge and practical experience. The program is structured as follows:

  • Semester 1: Introduction to foundational concepts in marketing communications, innovative design, and digital imaging.
