Humber’s Business Administration – Accounting advanced diploma program offers a comprehensive education in accounting theory, procedures, and best practices. Students will engage in detailed studies covering bookkeeping, auditing, taxation, business law, data analytics, information systems, finance, and management. The program emphasizes hands-on experience with industry-standard software such as Profile, Access, Excel, PowerBI, SAGE 50 Accounting, and Sage 300 ERP. With instruction from industry-connected faculty, students receive practical training that prepares them for the workforce. Additionally, the program fosters broad-based business skills, including human resource administration, business writing, macroeconomics, and finance. Support is readily available through the Humber Accounting Centre, ensuring students have the resources they need to succeed.

Program Structure

The Business Administration - Accounting program is structured over a duration of 6 semesters. This program offers both full-time and online options, allowing students to choose a learning format that best suits their needs. Key features of the program structure include:

  • Opportunity to apply for an optional co-operative education placement, which allows students to gain practical experience in their field.
  • Standard field experience course for those not selected for co-op, providing 84 hours of practical application of accounting knowledge.
  • Support from a dedicated business placement advisor to assist with job search techniques and resume development.
