Program Overview
Humber’s Furniture and Cabinetmaking Techniques program equips students with essential knowledge and skills to construct traditional furniture and install basic cabinets using recognized trade practices. The program emphasizes various joinery and construction techniques, utilizing hand tools, portable power tools, stationary machines, and computer-based technologies through a project-based approach. Upon successful completion of this certificate, students can apply to continue their studies into Semester 3 of the Industrial Woodworking Diploma. Graduates will be proficient in producing shop drawings, calculating material lists, assembling cabinetry or furniture, and applying finishes.
