The Construction Techniques (Carpentry, Electrical, HVAC and Welding) program at Conestoga College is designed for those looking to enter the trades. This one-year Ontario College Certificate program focuses on safety and hands-on skills development. Students will learn key concepts through practical experience at the Skilled Trades Campus. The program is structured into seven-week blocks covering four different trades: carpentry, electrical, HVAC, and welding. With experienced faculty guiding the way, students will not only enhance their technical skills but also strengthen their math and employment skills, preparing them for a rewarding career in the trades.

The Construction Techniques program is structured to provide a comprehensive foundation in various trades over a period of one year, divided into two academic terms. The program is delivered in person at the Cambridge – Reuter Dr. campus. Key features of the program structure include:
