The Honours Bachelor of Science – Nursing (Bridge) (BSNB) program at Seneca is designed specifically for current practicing Registered Practical Nurses (RPNs) who wish to complete their degree through a bridging pathway. This program allows graduates of an Ontario Practical Nursing diploma program to enter at the fifth semester after completing a two-semester bridge program. The curriculum emphasizes a diverse and global perspective, preparing students to become healthcare leaders. Students will earn a BScN credential, which qualifies them to apply for registration as a Registered Nurse in Ontario upon graduation.

Program structure

The Honours Bachelor of Science – Nursing (Bridge) program is structured to be completed in a total of 6 semesters (3 years). The program is offered in a hybrid delivery format, combining online coursework with in-person clinical practicums and simulation experiences. Key features of the program structure include:

  • Full-time study option available.
  • Students will complete a two-semester bridge program before entering the main program.
  • Clinical education is enhanced through focused simulation in state-of-the-art labs.
  • Professional practicum opportunities in semesters five, six, and seven.
  • Integrated professional practicum in semester eight with a one-on-one RN preceptor.
