Program overview

The Combined Degree program at Ivey Business School allows students to earn two degrees simultaneously: an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration (HBA) and an Honours Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Neuroscience. This unique program is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of both business and scientific principles, equipping graduates with a versatile skill set that is highly valued in today’s job market. Students will spend their first two years at Western University, followed by three years of specialized study in both fields. This dual approach not only enhances academic knowledge but also prepares students for a variety of career paths.

Program structure

The Combined Degree program is structured to span a total of five years. During the first two years, students will focus on foundational courses at Western University, which will set the stage for their advanced studies. The program is divided into the following key components:

  • Years 1 & 2: Students complete their initial studies in the Faculty of Science and the Faculty of Arts, laying the groundwork for both degrees.
  • Year 3: Students transition into the HBA program, where they begin to integrate business concepts with their scientific knowledge.
  • Years 4 & 5: Students will engage in a combination of business courses and required courses in Neuroscience, culminating in the completion of both degrees.

Additionally, students may have opportunities for co-op placements or internships, providing practical experience that complements their academic learning.
