This one-year certificate program, the Pre-Health Sciences Pathway to Advanced Diplomas & Degrees (PHS), is designed to equip students with essential knowledge and skills for academic success in health sciences and related fields. Students will gain expertise in various subjects including communications, mathematics, human anatomy, biology, and chemistry. The program prepares students to advance their studies in health sciences at the diploma, advanced diploma, or degree level, while also exploring potential careers in the health sciences sector. Upon successful completion, students will be eligible to apply for further programs at Seneca, with admission dependent on their grades in this program and the specific requirements of the desired program.

Program structure

The Pre-Health Sciences Pathway to Advanced Diplomas & Degrees (PHS) program is structured to provide a comprehensive foundation in health sciences over a duration of 2 semesters (1 year). The program is offered in a hybrid delivery format, combining both online and in-person coursework. Key features of the program structure include:

  • Starts in January, May, and September
  • Part-time option available
  • Eligibility for Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP)
  • In-person learning requirements at the King campus
