Program overview

The Financial Services Compliance Administration (FCA) program is a two-semester (8 months) graduate certificate offered by Seneca College. This program is designed to equip students with the essential technical and professional skills needed to become compliance officers in the financial services industry. With the rise of white-collar crime, including identity theft and money laundering, the demand for compliance and risk management professionals is increasing. Students will learn about Canadian regulatory requirements across banking, insurance, and securities sectors, while also developing critical skills in policies and procedures management, privacy management, and Anti Money Laundering (AML) investigation.

Program structure

The Financial Services Compliance Administration program is structured to provide a comprehensive learning experience over a duration of 2 semesters (8 months). The program is delivered in a flexible format, allowing students to choose between in-person classes or online learning. Key features of the program structure include:

  • Completion of a compliance administration field placement or an industry-related project.
  • Interactive learning spaces that facilitate both in-person and online instruction.
  • Opportunity to register for the Canadian Securities Course (CSC)® licensing examinations.
