The Double Degree - Honours Bachelor of Arts - English & Bachelor of Education - Intermediate/Senior program is designed for students who aspire to become educators while also developing a strong foundation in English literature and language. This program is offered at both the Thunder Bay and Orillia campuses of Lakehead University. Students will engage in a comprehensive curriculum that combines the study of English with essential education courses, preparing them for a successful career in teaching. An overall average of B (70%) in English courses is required for admission, ensuring that students are well-equipped for the challenges of the program.

The Double Degree program spans a total of six years, integrating both the Honours Bachelor of Arts in English and the Bachelor of Education. The structure of the program is as follows:
