The Double Degree - Honours Bachelor of Arts & Science in Interdisciplinary Studies - Social Justice & Bachelor of Education - Primary/Junior is a unique program designed for students who wish to combine their passion for social justice with a career in education. This program allows students to explore various disciplines while focusing on the critical issues surrounding social justice. Graduates will earn an Honours Bachelor Degree that prepares them for impactful careers in education and related fields.

Program Structure

The program is structured as a six-year course of study, integrating both interdisciplinary studies and education. Here are some key features of the program structure:

  • Program Length: Six years
  • Students must maintain an overall average of 70% in their courses.
  • The Interdisciplinary Studies Major consists of 13 FCEs, including courses in two disciplines and a concentration in Social Justice.
  • Students will complete a core set of courses in both their first and second disciplines.
  • Opportunities for electives and courses in music or visual arts are included.
  • Students will also engage in a two-year professional program in education.
