The Double Degree - Honours Bachelor of Arts & Science - Interdisciplinary Studies - Environment, Politics and Culture & Bachelor of Education - Primary/Junior is a unique program designed for students who wish to combine their passion for the environment, politics, and culture with a career in education. This program allows students to explore interdisciplinary studies while also preparing them for teaching at the Primary and Junior levels. The curriculum emphasizes a comprehensive understanding of the interconnectedness of various disciplines, fostering critical thinking and analytical skills essential for future educators.

Program Structure

The program is structured as a six-year course of study, integrating both arts and education disciplines. Key features of the program structure include:

  • Program Length: Six years
  • Completion of a total of 20 Full Course Equivalents (FCEs) over the duration of the program
  • Students must maintain an overall average of 70% in the Interdisciplinary Studies Major and related courses
  • Incorporation of a concentration in Environment, Politics, and Culture
  • Concurrent Education component, allowing students to meet the requirements for both degrees simultaneously
