Academic Requirements

To apply for the Double Degree - Bachelor Of Science - Mathematics & Bachelor Of Education - Primary/Junior program at Lakehead University, the following academic requirements must be met:

General Admission Requirements:

Completion of the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent.
A minimum of 6 Grade 12U or M courses, including program-specific prerequisite courses.
A minimum overall final average of 70%.

International Students:

Successful graduation from an academic secondary school program or equivalent, with the same academic preparation as required for university entrance in their country.
Program-specific prerequisite courses must be completed.
Equivalent of a minimum 70% overall final average (Canadian).
Transcripts may be required to be evaluated by WES in some cases.

- Advanced Functions (MHF4U)
- 1 from: Calculus & Vectors (MCV4U) or Data Management (MDM4U)

International English Language Testing System (IELTS) - Minimum Score: 6.5 (no individual score less than 6.0)
Michigan English Test (MET) - Minimum Score: 85
Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic) - Minimum Score: 58 (no component score less than 50)
Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) - Minimum Score: 80 (no component score less than 19) for Internet Based Test (iBT)
