The Double Degree - Bachelor of Arts & Science - Interdisciplinary Studies & Bachelor of Education - Primary/Junior program at Lakehead University is designed for students who wish to combine their passion for the arts and sciences with a career in education. This unique program allows students to explore a broad range of subjects while preparing them for teaching at the Primary and Junior levels. Program structure

The Double Degree program spans a total of five years, during which students will complete a comprehensive curriculum that integrates both arts and sciences with education. The program structure includes:

  • Completion of a minimum of 15 full-course equivalents (FCEs) over the duration of the program.
  • Four Interdisciplinary Studies courses, including specific courses at various levels.
  • Five FCEs in a chosen disciplinary area, with requirements for course levels and types.
  • Students must maintain a minimum cumulative average of 65% in their education courses.
  • Opportunities for electives that allow for further exploration of interests.
