Academic Requirements

For the Double Degree - Bachelor Of Science - Biological Science & Bachelor Of Education - Intermediate-Senior (Honours) program, the following Academic Requirements apply:

General Academic Requirements:

Senior Secondary school credential appropriate for entry to university in your home country.
Academically rigorous Grade 12 year.
Prerequisites required for your program must be taken at the Grade 12 university-preparatory level (or equivalent).
Minimum B- average (higher for some programs).

Documents required for preliminary assessment of your application include:

Final grades and results from your secondary studies, as published by your institution or examining board.
For current students, final grades/results to date and progress or predicted grades for in-progress studies.
Predicted grades may be submitted, but progress school grades are preferred.

Additional Documents:

Some programs may require supplementary documents. Please check the important admission deadlines for more information.
Additional documents may be requested after a preliminary assessment, including detailed course syllabi, copies of awarded credentials, and school profile information.

Final, official documents directly from the issuing institution/board will be required to retain an offer. In cases where final, official documents demonstrate that Academic Requirements are no longer met, an offer may be changed or revoked.

Language Requirements

English is the primary language of instruction at Brock University. If your first language is not English, you must prove proficiency with one of the following:

IELTS - Academic: overall 6.5, no band below 6.0
TOEFL iBT: overall 88, no band below 21
Duolingo: minimum score of 110
CAEL: overall 70, no band below 60
PTE: 58
IELP Level 5: Successful completion of Level 5 of the Brock Intensive English Language program
CAE (C1 Advanced): 176 minimum score
CPE (C2 Proficiency): 176 minimum score
IB: Completion of the International Baccalaureate diploma with English A
English Language Instruction: A minimum of three previous years of full-time study (non-ESL) where the primary language of instruction and evaluation was English, with strong grades in English and other humanities/social science secondary school courses.

Online Proficiency Tests: Brock accepts the IELTS, TOEFL-at-Home Edition Test, Duolingo English Test, CAEL Online test, and the PTE Academic Online test.

IELTS One Skill Retake is accepted by Brock Undergraduate Admissions.
