The Double Degree - Bachelor Of Science - Integrated Studies - General Science & Bachelor Of Education - Junior-Intermediate program is a unique concurrent program offered by the Faculty of Mathematics and Science in collaboration with the Faculty of Education. This six-year program is designed for students who aspire to teach mathematics and sciences at the Junior/Intermediate level, specifically targeting grades 4-10, with a strong emphasis on elementary education (grades 4-8). Students will earn both an Honours Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Integrated Studies and a Bachelor of Education (BEd) degree upon successful completion of the program. - Teacher Education courses count towards the BEd degree, while other courses contribute to the BSc degree.
- Students must complete the first four years of the program before progressing to Years 5 and 6.
- Continuous registration within a twelve-month period is necessary to retain concurrent education status.
- Students may be assigned to either the Burlington or St Catharines campus for their practice teaching and courses.
