The Double Degree - Honours Bachelor of Arts - Gender and Women's Studies & Bachelor of Education - Primary/Junior program at Lakehead University is designed for students who are passionate about gender issues and education. This unique program allows students to explore the complexities of gender and women's studies while simultaneously preparing for a career in education. Program structure

The program is structured as a six-year course of study, which includes both the Honours Bachelor of Arts in Gender and Women's Studies and the Bachelor of Education in Primary/Junior. The program is divided into two main components:

  • First Year: Introduction to Gender and Women's Studies, English or Indigenous Language, Science, and Education.
  • Second Year: Core courses in Gender and Women's Studies, electives, and Education.
  • Third Year: Advanced Gender and Women's Studies courses, electives, and Education.
  • Fourth Year: Specialized courses in Gender and Women's Studies, electives, and Education.
  • Fifth and Sixth Years: Completion of the 2-Year Professional Program in Education.
