Program Overview

The Truck and Coach Technician (Optional Co-op) program at Centennial College is designed to equip students with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills necessary for success in the truck and coach industry. This program emphasizes applied mechanics, vehicle dynamics, and component design and repair. Students will also receive advanced training in HVAC systems, preventative maintenance, and fixed operations management. Additionally, the curriculum includes two electric vehicle courses focusing on high voltage, safety, and components. This comprehensive approach ensures that graduates are well-prepared to meet the demands of employers in one of the largest sectors of the economy.

Program Structure

The Truck and Coach Technician program is structured to be completed in 2 years over the course of 4 semesters. The program is offered at the Ashtonbee Campus and includes a blend of theoretical and hands-on learning experiences. Students have the option to participate in a co-op program, which allows them to gain valuable work experience in the field while completing their studies. This co-op option is designed to enhance employability and provide students with practical skills that are directly applicable to their future careers.
