This two-year diploma program, Tourism – Services Management – Travel Services Specialization (TIS), is designed to equip students with a solid foundation of skills and knowledge essential for careers in the corporate travel business, leisure, or cruise travel sectors. The program emphasizes a service-driven attitude while honing business skills in marketing, sales, and customer relations. Students will gain insights into negotiation, risk management, and industry-specific global distribution systems, as well as explore local and international tourism destinations and geography. Graduates with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher can access an advanced entry pathway toward the Honours Bachelor of Commerce – Business Management (BBM).

Program structure

The Tourism – Services Management – Travel Services Specialization (TIS) program is structured over a duration of 4 semesters (2 years). The program includes:

  • Field placement of 315 hours in the third semester, providing practical experience.
  • Optional co-op work term for hands-on experience in the field.
  • Seamless transition to the Tourism – Services Management - Global Tourism Business concentration after the first semester.
  • Hybrid delivery format, combining online and in-person coursework.

Students can start the program in January, May, or September, with availability subject to change. The program meets Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) eligibility requirements, allowing international students to work in Canada after graduation.
