Program Overview

The Double Degree - Honours Bachelor of Arts & Science with a concentration in Interdisciplinary Studies - Social Justice is designed for students who wish to explore the intersection of various disciplines while focusing on social justice issues. This program emphasizes a comprehensive understanding of social dynamics, human rights, and conflict resolution. Students will engage in a curriculum that fosters critical thinking and interdisciplinary approaches, preparing them for diverse career paths in the field of social justice and beyond.

Program Structure

The program is structured as a four-year undergraduate degree, requiring students to complete a total of 20 Full Course Equivalents (FCEs). The program includes:

  • Three FCEs of Interdisciplinary Studies courses
  • Five FCEs in the first discipline
  • Five FCEs in the second discipline
  • Additional electives to meet the program requirements

Students must maintain an overall average of 70% in their major and related courses. The program also offers a Non-Direct Entry option for students who may not meet the Honours requirements, allowing them to complete a four-year degree with a minimum average of 60%.
