Program Overview

Humber’s Post-Production graduate certificate program is designed to equip students with the essential technological skills and creative abilities necessary to excel in the post-production industry. Students will gain a solid foundation in industry-standard non-linear video editing, sound design, visual effects, and colour grading software. The program emphasizes hands-on learning through lectures and practical work, allowing students to specialize in specific post-production skills that enhance their marketability in a competitive field.

 

Throughout the program, students will learn to collaborate effectively with various departments in the production chain and develop efficient workflows that meet broadcast standards. The curriculum covers the theory and practice of picture and sound editing, VFX, and motion graphics creation. Additionally, students will have opportunities to network with industry professionals and acquire essential business skills for freelancing, including branding and graphic design, culminating in the creation of a marketable portfolio website.

The Post-Production graduate certificate program spans 3 semesters and offers a comprehensive curriculum that prepares students for the demands of the industry. The program includes:
