The Broadcasting – Radio, Television and Film (Film Production) program at Niagara College Canada is designed for aspiring filmmakers. As a graduate, you will have the opportunity to work on sets, at production houses, and in editing rooms across Canada and around the world. This program provides a comprehensive introduction to all areas of filmmaking, ensuring you develop the skills necessary to succeed in the dynamic film industry.

Program structure

The Broadcasting – Radio, Television and Film (Film Production) program is structured to provide a thorough education in filmmaking over a three-year period. During this time, students will engage in various aspects of film production, including writing, directing, cinematography, lighting, sound, editing, and producing. The program includes:

  • Cross-programming opportunities in Acting for Film and Digital Media, Television Production, and Game Development.
  • Hands-on experience with new state-of-the-art equipment, film studios, colour correction suites, and digital sound mixing.
  • Students apply to the program and select a concentration during the first year.
