Program Overview

The Digital Music Production program is an intensive, one-year full-time certificate program tailored for aspiring music producers and composers. This program equips students with the necessary skills to thrive in various sectors, including recording, film, television, gaming, advertising, and multimedia. Students will have access to their own mobile production studio and industry-standard music production software, allowing them to gain hands-on experience in both home and professional studio environments.

Program Structure

The Digital Music Production program spans a minimum of one year and is delivered on a full-time basis. Classes commence in September and are scheduled five nights a week from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM, Monday to Friday. The program is divided into three 14-week terms, with short breaks in between each term. Key features of the program structure include:

  • Two groups of a maximum of 16 students per cohort.
  • Classes primarily held at 601 West Broadway in Vancouver, with additional sessions at local professional recording studios.
  • Instruction from qualified college-level educators and industry professionals.

This program is designed to train producers at various levels, from those creating their own music to those producing works for other artists and commercial projects.
