Program overview

The Fitness & Health Promotion (FHP) program at Seneca is a two-year diploma course designed to equip students with essential skills and knowledge for enhancing the health of clients and communities through physical fitness. This program emphasizes the science and professional practices necessary for implementing effective fitness and health programs for individuals of all ages. Students will receive advanced training and practical experience in coaching and fitness promotion, preparing them for a variety of professional opportunities in the rapidly growing fields of fitness, wellness, and health promotion. Graduates with a GPA of 2.5 or higher can also benefit from transfer opportunities into further degree programs.

Program structure

The Fitness & Health Promotion program is structured to provide a comprehensive education over a period of 4 semesters (2 years). The program is delivered in a hybrid format, combining online coursework with in-person learning requirements. Key features of the program structure include:
