Humber’s Bachelor of Commerce – Management Studies degree program prepares you to take on a variety of managerial roles in many different types of businesses. The program is based on the seven traditional management functions: planning, organizing, staffing, directing, coordinating, reporting, and budgeting. It equips you with the necessary skills and knowledge to analyze issues from various perspectives, apply classroom work to industry-connected projects, and develop effective business strategies. You will also integrate transferable skills such as interpersonal interaction, communication, and organization into all classroom and project work. The program emphasizes hands-on learning, allowing you to take your ideas from concept to execution, and culminates in a senior-level business capstone project in your final year.

Program Structure

The Bachelor of Commerce – Management Studies program is structured over a period of 8 semesters. This comprehensive program includes a blend of foundational business studies and specialized management courses. Key features of the program structure include:

  • Start Dates: January and September
  • Online Option available for flexibility

  • Completion of a senior-level capstone project in the final year
  • Mandatory field experience of 14 weeks/420 hours between the sixth and seventh semesters
