Program Overview

The Pre-Health Sciences Pathway to Advanced Diplomas and Degrees is an Ontario College Certificate program designed to be your first step toward further studies in health programs. This program focuses on developing essential employability skills that will set you on the path to a rewarding career in health care. Through a combination of classroom learning and hands-on experiences, students will gain a solid foundation in the sciences, preparing them for advanced studies in various health-related fields.

Program Structure

The Pre-Health Sciences Pathway to Advanced Diplomas and Degrees program is structured to be completed in 1 year of full-time study. The program is delivered through a hybrid model, which includes:

  • In-person classes
  • Online learning modules
  • Hands-on laboratory experiences

This program not only equips students with academic knowledge in subjects like math, chemistry, physics, and biology but also emphasizes the development of critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills. Throughout the year, students will engage in various activities that enhance their understanding of health care roles and responsibilities, as well as strategies that promote equity, diversity, inclusion, and belonging. Additionally, students earn post-secondary course credits that may be eligible for transfer to future college programs.
