Program Overview

This is one of the few Pre-Health Pathway programs in the Ontario College sector where students have the opportunity to gain science lab experience. If you are interested in pursuing a career in the health-care sector and you would like the opportunity to explore your options while developing the skills that are necessary for post-secondary success, then this is the program for you. In the Pre-Health Sciences Pathway to Advanced Diplomas and Degrees program, you will strengthen your science, writing, and math skills while exploring and preparing you for career paths in biotechnology, pharmacy technician, registered or practical nursing, Chinese medicine, and paramedicine, to name a few.

Program Structure

The Pre-Health Sciences Pathway to Advanced Diplomas and Degrees program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive foundation in health sciences over a period of 2 semesters. The program includes:

  • Online option available for flexible learning.
  • Experiential learning through science labs, where students will participate in lab teams and conduct experiments starting in their first semester.
  • Opportunities to connect with health-care professionals through guest speakers and events.
  • Support from student advising to help navigate academic and career pathways.

This program not only focuses on academic skills but also emphasizes the importance of personal and social responsibility as a future health professional.
