Program overview

The Cybersecurity & Threat Management program at Seneca is designed to equip students with the essential skills needed to combat the evolving landscape of cybersecurity threats. As organizations face increasing challenges in securing their digital infrastructures, this program addresses the critical shortage of cybersecurity professionals in Canada. Developed in collaboration with leading financial services organizations, it focuses on providing students with specialized skills to protect against fraud, data breaches, and other vulnerabilities. Program structure

The Cybersecurity & Threat Management program is structured to provide a comprehensive learning experience over a duration of 2 semesters (8 months). The program is delivered in a hybrid format, combining both online and in-person classes at the Newnham Campus. Key features of the program structure include:

• Option to complete a work term for hands-on experience.
• Courses are available starting in January, May, and September.
• Flexibility to transfer between work term and non-work term streams.

This program is designed to ensure that students not only gain theoretical knowledge but also practical skills through real-world applications. The inclusion of an industry capstone project further enhances the learning experience, allowing students to apply their skills in a practical setting.
