Program Overview

In the Millwork and Carpentry program, students will acquire hands-on skills essential for the design and construction of various wood structures, including cabinets, shelving units, and furniture. This program emphasizes practical experience, allowing students to delve into the two traditional woodworking trades: Cabinetmaker and Carpenter. With a focus on tools and safety, students will gain a comprehensive understanding of the materials and techniques relevant to their chosen specialization.

Program Structure

The Millwork and Carpentry program is designed to be completed in 1 Year (Full-time). The program offers two distinct streams for specialization:

  • Cabinetmaking Stream: This stream introduces students to the construction of both upper and lower casework, including doors, drawers, mouldings, and hardware, while also exposing them to various materials used in the trade.
  • Carpentry Stream: This stream provides an introduction to residential home construction, covering foundations, framing, and finishing carpentry.

Students will engage in in-person classes, typically scheduled on weekdays during the daytime. The program is open for both domestic and international applicants, ensuring a diverse learning environment.
