NAIT's Radio and Television program offers an intensive hands-on training experience through a non-traditional approach. Program Structure
The Radio and Television program is a 2-year full-time diploma that consists of two distinct yet interrelated programs. The structure of the program includes:
- Two 15-week semesters each academic year.
- A common first semester shared with classmates from both the Radio and Television programs, focusing on a wide range of communication skills.
- Hands-on training in the second semester, where students will work on radio-focused courses and projects.
- In the third term, students will advance their technical skills by participating in the NR92 radio broadcast.
- A final 15-week work placement in the last term, providing direct industry experience.
This program also includes a mandatory work-integrated learning component, allowing students to apply their skills in real-world settings. The delivery mode is in-person, with classes scheduled on weekdays during the daytime.
