Program Overview

The Master of Science in Management (MScMgt) program at Lakehead University is tailored for students holding degrees in business and related fields. This program equips students with the necessary skills to manage, oversee, and conduct research in various management disciplines. Through a combination of intensive seminars, engaging class discussions, and research assignments, students will develop a profound understanding of management theories and practices. The program culminates in a research project or thesis, supervised by qualified faculty, allowing students to apply their knowledge in a practical context.

Program Structure

The MScMgt program is structured to provide a comprehensive education in management over a period of one year for full-time students and three years for part-time students. The program consists of:

  • Three and one-half full-course equivalents (seven half-courses)
  • A two-part research project (one and one-half full-course equivalents)

This results in a total of five full-course equivalents (FCEs). The curriculum includes core courses that cover essential topics such as management theory, research methods, and quantitative analysis in management.
