Academic Requirements

The Academic Requirements for the Bachelor of Science (Honours) - Computer Science (co-op) program at Lakehead University are as follows:

Students must maintain an average of at least 70% in all Computer Science courses to continue in the program.
Transcripts may be required to be evaluated by WES in some cases.
Students are required to take at least five Full Course Equivalents (FCEs) outside the Departments of Computer Science and Mathematical Sciences.
Electives must include at least three from the following courses: 4478, 4475, 4471, 4311, 4312, 4476.
For the Business Focus, students must take an elective course from the following list instead of Business 1013: Business 2033, 3013, 3213, 3413, 4253, or an alternate approved by the Faculty of Business Administration.
In the Science Focus, at least one FCE elective from Type C courses (except Engineering) must be at the second-year level or higher.
Students wishing to pursue scientific computing should choose Mathematics 3351 and/or Mathematics 3371 and select necessary prerequisites from Mathematics as part of their electives.
