Academic Requirements

To be eligible for the Bachelor of Science - Biomedical Sciences (BM411) program, applicants must meet the following requirements:

Possess the equivalent of an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD).
Complete the required courses as noted on specific program web pages.
International Academic Equivalencies include:
- Upper Secondary School Certificate with a minimum grade of 7 in program required subjects.
- Transcripts for any post-secondary courses or programs completed.

Transcripts may be required to be evaluated by WES in some cases.

Language Requirements

To ensure that all students are adequately prepared for the academic challenges at Humber, it is essential to demonstrate proficiency in English. If English is not a student’s first language, or if their previous education was conducted in another language, they must provide proof of English proficiency through one of the following methods:

Completion of a minimum of two years of full-time study at the secondary school level in an English language school system in a country where English is the primary language.
Completion of a minimum of two full years of successful study in an accredited university degree program or college diploma program in a country where English is the primary language of instruction.
Submission of English proficiency test scores from one of the following accepted tests, taken within the last 24 months:
CAEL Online or In-Person: Overall band score of 60
Cambridge English Tests: Minimum B2 First / C1 Advanced / C2 Proficiency 176 (with no single subscore below 169)
Duolingo Language Test: 115 and above
Humber English for Academic Purposes Pathway Program (EAP): Successful completion of all EAP courses with a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 75% in Level 8
IELTS Academic Level: Overall 6.5 AND No band below 6.0
LanguageCert Academic LCA: Overall 70-74 with no skill under 65
MET: 59
PTE Academic: 58 - 60
TOEFL Academic Level: 560 for paper-based test OR 84 for internet-based test
