Program Overview

The Hospitality Management Diploma Program at Douglas College equips students with essential marketing and management skills tailored for lodging and restaurant operations. Program Structure

The Hospitality Management Diploma is designed to be completed over four semesters, offering both full-time and part-time learning formats. Key features of the program structure include:

  • Completion of 60 credits to graduate.
  • 500 hours of approved work experience required.
  • Courses are available in Fall, Winter, and Summer semesters, with specific Hospitality Management courses offered only in Fall and Winter.
  • Students must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.00 and complete at least 25% of their credits at Douglas College.
  • Opportunities for further studies, including a direct transfer to the Bachelor of Business Administration in Management with a concentration in Hospitality Management.

Students are encouraged to register for 4-5 courses per semester to maintain full-time status, ensuring a smooth progression through the program.
