Program overview

An Art History degree at Queen’s offers students an unrivalled opportunity to build visual literacy skills in global arts, architecture, and culture. Students explore contemporary and historical problems in the visual art and museum sector from a variety of interdisciplinary perspectives. With typically small class sizes, students work closely with internationally recognized experts, developing comprehensive research and analytical skills across a diverse spectrum of topics.

Program structure

The Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Art History program is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of art and its historical context. The program emphasizes experiential learning, which includes:
