The Civil Engineering Technician program is a 2-year diploma program offered at the Welland campus. The program is structured to provide students with a blend of theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience. Key features of the program structure include:

  • Experiential learning opportunities in computer-aided drafting applications, lab testing, structural design, and project management.
  • Eligibility for graduates to write the house component of the Ontario Building Code exam.
  • Immediate associate member status with the Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists (OACETT) upon application after graduation.
  • Options for graduates to either enter the workforce or progress into Niagara College’s Construction Engineering Technology program.
