The Pre-Health Sciences Pathway to Certificates and Diplomas program at Mohawk College is designed to provide students with the foundational knowledge and skills necessary to pursue a variety of health-related certificate and diploma programs. This program emphasizes a comprehensive understanding of essential subjects such as math, science, and communications, ensuring that students are well-prepared for further studies in the health sciences field. Program structure

The Pre-Health Sciences Pathway to Certificates and Diplomas program spans a duration of 1 academic year (8 months). This program is structured to provide a well-rounded educational experience, focusing on the fundamentals of health sciences. Key features of the program structure include:

  • Fully in-person learning environment, enhancing student engagement and interaction.
  • Flexible scheduling, with classes held Monday through Friday from 8 am to 10 pm.
  • Emphasis on core subjects such as biology, chemistry, physics, math, and English.
  • Opportunities for students to explore various career options in the health field.

Additionally, starting in Fall 2025, students will have the opportunity to enroll in the new Pre-Health Advantage Pathway, which will further enhance their educational journey.
