Academic Requirements

Apply through Ontario Colleges to program number 758 Practical Nursing (PSW to PN Bridging Stream).
Submit proof of completion of the following courses:
- Grade 12 English C or U
- Grade 10 Mathematics, D or P
Submit proof of completion of a Personal Support Worker Certificate program from an Ontario community college, a private college, career college, or local board of education or an equivalent program.

For international students, proof of English proficiency must be submitted if English is not their first language. Accepted equivalents for Grade 12 English include:

Successful completion of GAS-EAP (478) Program Level 8
TOEFL minimum score of 560 (83 Internet based)
IELTS Academic minimum score of 6.5 overall with no band less than 6.0
CAEL 70, no sub-test band score less than 60
PTE Academic 60 overall with a minimum score of 60 in Writing and Speaking

Additionally, all applicants must complete a clear Police Records Check for Service with the Vulnerable Sector (PRCSVS) to be eligible for clinical placements. This check must be completed within the last 6 months and remain valid for the full upcoming semester.
