Academic Requirements

To be eligible for the Graduate Certificate - User Experience Design (UX511) program, applicants must meet the following requirements:

Possess a bachelor’s degree or advanced diploma.
International Academic Equivalencies:
- Degree or college diploma and transcripts (depending on program of interest).

For international students, particularly those from Vietnam and other Asian countries, it is essential to ensure that your academic credentials are equivalent to the Canadian standards. This may involve having your transcripts evaluated.

Additionally, please note that transcripts may be required to be evaluated by WES in some cases.

Submission of English proficiency test scores from one of the following accepted tests, taken within the last 24 months:
CAEL Online or In-Person: Overall band score of 70
Cambridge English Tests: C1 Advanced / C2 Proficiency 176 (with no single subscore below 169)
Duolingo Language Test: 125 and above
IELTS Academic Level: Overall 6.5 AND No band below 6.0
LanguageCert Academic LCA: Overall 70-74 with no skill under 65
MET: 62
PTE Academic: 61 - 64
TOEFL Academic Level: 580 for paper-based test OR 88 for internet-based test
