Humber’s Graphic Design advanced diploma program is designed to cultivate creative and strategic designers who are eager to implement a diverse array of visual communication strategies. This program emphasizes interactive media, including web and screen design, user interaction, motion design, and traditional print media. Through a balanced approach of theoretical knowledge and hands-on practical training, students will merge art and design to create distinctive visual communication solutions. The curriculum encourages exploration of creative strategy, typography, editorial design, package design, user experience (UX), user interface (UI), and motion design. The Advanced College Diploma in Graphic Design spans 6 semesters, providing students with a robust educational experience. The program is structured to include:

  • Hands-on practical training combined with theoretical learning.
  • Shared first semester with the Multimedia Design and Development program, allowing students to explore various design disciplines.
  • Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) opportunities, including a field experience course in the final semester.
  • Optional co-operative education, enabling students to gain paid work experience in their field.
