The Graduate Certificate in Enhanced Practice for Internationally Educated Nurses - Complex Care (CCNI) is designed for Internationally Educated Nurses (IENs) who wish to enhance their nursing practice in complex care environments in Ontario. This program focuses on developing both theoretical and clinical skills necessary to address the needs of patients with complex health challenges. Students will engage in an interprofessional approach, emphasizing ethical and legal issues, advanced health assessment, and cultural sensitivity. The program utilizes active learning methods, including simulation labs and a clinical placement, to ensure that IENs gain a comprehensive understanding of the healthcare system in Canada and the nursing profession in Ontario.
