Academic Requirements

The Honours Bachelor of Science – Nursing program has specific academic requirements that applicants must meet to be considered for admission. Here are the details:

Minimum GPA: A minimum overall average of 75% is required for admission.

Program Eligibility: Applicants must possess an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent, including the following required courses:

English, Grade 12 (ENG4U)
Biology, Grade 12 (U) (SBI4U or equivalent)
Math, Grade 12 (U) (MDM4U, MCV4U, MHF4U or equivalent)
Chemistry, Grade 12 (U) (SCH4U or equivalent)
Two additional Grade 12 credits at the U or M level

Alternatively, applicants may qualify with two semesters of postsecondary education, including the required English (ENG4U or equivalent) and all required courses listed above, also with a minimum overall average of 75%.

International Students: For international students, it is essential to meet the same academic requirements as domestic students. Additionally, international applicants whose first language is not English must meet Sheridan's English Proficiency Requirements.

Criminal Record Check: Students may be required to provide a police record check for criminal offences, a vulnerable sector check, and/or a current acceptable record of immunization for field placements.
