Become a certified athletic therapist with Sheridan's Honours Bachelor of Applied Health Sciences – Athletic Therapy. The Honours Bachelor of Applied Health Sciences – Athletic Therapy program is designed to be completed in 4 years. The program includes:

Academic Requirements

Program Eligibility

Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent, including the following required courses:

English, Grade 12 (ENG4U) with a minimum grade of 65%

plus

Biology, Grade 12 (U) with a minimum grade of 65%

plus one of:

Physics, Grade 12 (U) with a minimum grade of 65% or
Mathematics, Grade 12 (U) with a minimum grade of 65% or
Chemistry, Grade 12 (U) with a minimum grade of 65%

plus

Three additional Grade 12 credits at the U or M level with a minimum grade of 65% in each course.

Two semesters of postsecondary education plus all required courses listed above or equivalent with a minimum grade of 65% in each of the required courses.

Applicant Selection

Eligible applicants will be selected on the basis of their previous academic achievement (the average of their six highest senior-level credits, including required courses).

Applicants who do not meet the Academic Requirements for this program may be advised individually regarding other related programs.

Transcripts may be required to be evaluated by WES in some cases.

Language Requirements

All applicants to Sheridan must demonstrate English-language proficiency. This requirement applies to all students whose first language is not English. There are several ways to demonstrate your English proficiency:

Successful completion of Sheridan’s ESL program.
Previous secondary or postsecondary experience in English.
Achieving the minimum requirements of an English-language proficiency test.

For English-language proficiency tests, Sheridan recognizes the following exams and their minimum score requirements:

Sheridan’s ESL program (EAP level)	A minimum score of 70% in listening and speaking and 70% in reading and writing.	A minimum score of 75% in listening and speaking and 75% in reading and writing.

TOEFL iBT	Overall score 80 with no individual section below 20.	Overall score 88 with no individual section below 21.
Duolingo English Language Test	Overall score of 105 with no integrated subscore lower than 85.	Overall score of 115 with no integrated subscore lower than 95.
CAEL (Canadian Academic English Language)	Overall score 60 with no individual section below 50.	Overall score 70 with no individual section below 60.
