Learn the skills to bring your imagination to life in OCAD University’s new Experimental Animation program. This program is designed to help you develop a personal artistic vision while pushing the boundaries of animation as a contemporary art form. You will mix traditional and digital media, utilizing techniques such as 2D, 3D, stop-motion, digital compositing, and augmented/virtual reality. The program also offers the flexibility to take art and design elective courses beyond animation, ensuring a well-rounded educational experience.

Program structure

The Bachelor of Fine Arts in Experimental Animation is a four-year full-time program that emphasizes both experimental animation and contemporary art. Throughout your studies, you will engage in a variety of learning experiences, including:
