The Bachelor of Fine Arts - Digital Futures program at OCAD University is designed to empower students to create innovative technologies that influence our daily lives. This program emphasizes the development of skills in various areas such as game design, wearable technology, mobile applications, virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and interactive installations. Students will learn to harness new technologies to address contemporary challenges and explore future possibilities. Program structure

The Digital Futures program spans a four-year duration, culminating in either a Bachelor of Fine Arts or a Bachelor of Design degree. The program is structured as follows:

  • First Year: Introduction to a wide range of digital and physical design skills, along with elective courses based on personal interests.
  • Second & Third Year: Focus on Atelier courses that provide hands-on studio and research lab experiences, encouraging teamwork and project development.
  • Fourth Year: Development of an individual or group thesis project, culminating in a showcase at OCAD U’s GradEx exhibition.
