Constructing, erecting, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures for residential and light commercial use are all tasks that carpenters are needed for.

In our Carpentry (Optional Co-op) diploma program, you will develop practical skills such as framing walls, siding and drywall installation, constructing wooden forms for pouring concrete, and erecting scaffolding. You’ll also learn about the codes, standards, and quality concepts that apply to carpentry. Carpenters are experts in home and business improvement, always in demand. Program Structure

The Carpentry (Optional Co-op) diploma program is designed to be completed within two academic years of full-time study. This program offers a blend of theoretical knowledge and practical skills, ensuring that students are well-prepared for the carpentry profession.

Key features of the program structure include:

  • Possibility to participate in a 22-week job placement (Paid)
  • Opportunity to challenge both Level 1 and Level 2 Apprenticeship exams
  • Upon registering as an Apprentice, you will be accredited with 2600 hours towards the hours required to complete an Apprenticeship in Carpentry in New Brunswick

This program not only equips students with essential carpentry skills but also prepares them for real-world applications through hands-on experiences and job placements.
