Program Overview

The Business Administration - Accounting program at Mohawk College is designed to equip students with essential accounting skills in areas such as advanced financial accounting, management control, corporate taxation, and audit. This program leads to an Ontario College Advanced Diploma and prepares graduates for a variety of responsible positions in business and industry, including mid-management roles. Students will benefit from learning from experienced faculty members who hold professional designations, including members of the Chartered Professional Accountants (CPA) of Ontario. The program also offers opportunities for practical experience through client projects focused on budgeting and cost management.

Program Structure

The Business Administration - Accounting program spans a duration of three academic years, divided into periods of 8 months each. Students have the option to enroll in a Fast Track program, allowing them to complete the three-year Advanced Diploma in just 6 semesters. This accelerated path starts in January and includes continuous study through Winter, Spring/Summer, and Fall semesters without a break during the first summer.
