The Business (General) program at Mohawk College is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of essential business skills, theories, and best practices across various functional areas of an organization. This Ontario College Diploma program spans two years and is ideal for those exploring career options or aspiring to become entrepreneurs. Additionally, there is an option to extend studies into the third year of the Business Administration advanced diploma program, allowing for further specialization and career advancement.

The Business (General) program is structured to be completed in two academic years, which consists of periods of 8 months each. For those looking for an accelerated option, a Fast Track program is available, enabling students to complete the diploma in just 16 months by starting in January and attending four continuous semesters without a summer break.
