Program Overview

The Community Worker (Accelerated) program at George Brown College is designed to prepare students for impactful roles in social change. This program focuses on addressing critical issues such as poverty, housing, legal rights, discrimination, food justice, and immigration. It is tailored for individuals who already possess a diploma or degree, allowing them to complete their studies in a condensed format. This program is recognized by the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW), enabling graduates to apply for the designation of Registered Social Service Worker (RSSW) upon completion.

Program Structure

The Community Worker (Accelerated) program spans a total of 5 weeks and 8 months, divided into 3 semesters of full-time study. The program is structured as follows:
