Program Overview

This three-year Heating, Refrigeration, and Air Conditioning Technology advanced diploma program provides students with a comprehensive understanding of designing, building, controlling, and maintaining energy-efficient building environmental systems. The program emphasizes practical skills through hands-on projects in the first two years, allowing students to work with a variety of furnaces, air conditioners, refrigeration equipment, and other appliances in well-equipped labs. In the third year, the focus shifts to commercial systems, ensuring graduates are well-prepared for success in the HVAC industry.

Program Structure

The Heating, Refrigeration, and Air Conditioning Technology program is structured as follows:

  • Program Length: 3 years (6 semesters)
  • Method of Study: Full-time
  • Starting Months: January, September

Throughout the program, students will engage in:

  • Hands-on projects in labs during the first two years
  • A focus on commercial systems in the third year
  • Training that follows industry-standard design practices for environmentally responsible and energy-efficient systems

This program is also eligible for the Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP), allowing international students to gain valuable work experience in Canada after graduation.
