College Certificate - Mechanical Techniques - Industrial Millwright (1385)

Academic Requirements

To apply for the College Certificate in Mechanical Techniques - Industrial Millwright program at Conestoga College, applicants must meet the following Academic Requirements:

• Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), or equivalent, OR 19 years of age or older with mature student status.

• Grade 12 compulsory English, C or U, or equivalent, OR Conestoga College Preparatory Communications (COMM1251).
• Grade 12 Mathematics, C (60%) or U (50%) or equivalent, OR Conestoga College Preparatory Mathematics for Trades & Apprenticeships (MATH1420) (60%).

For international students, particularly those from Vietnam and other Asian countries, the following additional information is important:

• If your transcripts are from outside of Canada, you will need to obtain a course-by-course comprehensive evaluation. You can use an approved provider of credential evaluation services such as ICAS or WES, or once you have applied, you can request a credential evaluation through the college.
• Transcripts may be required to be evaluated by WES in some cases.

It is also important to note that:

• The minimum academic strength considered for admission is 60%. If more than one mark is received for a required subject, the highest mark will be used in the calculation.
• A sound mathematical and English background is crucial for success in this program and is considered during the admission selection process.

• 80 TOEFL (Effective January 2024, no individual skill less than 20)
